Medical Treatment to Volumise the Skin
Our Guide
Our medical treatment can be used to shape and fill various areas of the face, such as lips, cheeks, fine and deep expression lines leading to smoother skin and a more youthful appearance. This treatment are often used in conjunction with our medical line softening treatment to reduce and slow down the visible effects of ageing.
Volumising the skin may improve the concentration of a natural substance in our bodies known as Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This substance strengthens connective tissue and helps store water within the skin’s tissue.
Medical treatments to volumise the skin are used for:
- Fine and deep lines
- Ageing skin
- Creases and folds of nose, mouth, forehead and eyes
- Lip structure
- Cheek Structure
- Volume loss
- Facial asymmetry
- Dehydrated skin and lips
- Uneven skin texture
What to expect during treatment?
An anaesthetic cream is applied to the area being treated in order to numb the skin to create a more comfortable experience. The medical treatment is then administered to the area to create your youthful glow.
At the completion of the treatment, the results will be visible. You may also look ‘puffy’. The puffiness will subside normally within 48 hours, sometimes longer. Some bruising may also occur. The use of icepacks will assist in reducing the swelling and bruising. It may take a couple of weeks to completely settle before you see the final result.
How long will medical volumising treatments last and how do I maintain them?
Depending on the area treated, the effects this treatment will last between 4 and 18 months. It is then recommended to treat annually to maintain optimal results.
