What is the Revlite Laser Treatment?

The Laser treatment is a revolutionary treatment performed with photo-acoustic technology. Skin conditions improved with this treatment include: Individual Seborrheic keratosis (spot treated area only), fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, decreasing collagen, uneven skin tone (pigmentation) and texture. When a whole area is treated it also provides a deep pore cleanse to improve clogged pores and congestion. 

How long does the treatment take?

On average the laser treatment is around 10-20 minutes please allow a minimum of 30 minutes for your appointment. 

How often do I need to have treatment? 

The treatment regime varies according to the condition being treated. Laser facials are best taken as a series of treatments performed monthly. Seborrheic Keratosis requires at least 2 treatments. For all conditions, it is possible for some individuals to require regular maintenance treatments. 

Can all skin types be treated?

All skin types can have this treatment. 

What will my skin look like after the treatment?

A mild sunburn feeling may be present for 5–10 minutes following the treatment. The skin may be slightly flushed with a warm glow lasting between 1-2 hours. Some people find the deep pore cleansing advantages may bring congestion to the surface and breakouts may occur directly after treatment and up to 2-3 days later.  After treatment for Seborrheic keratosis the treated skin will darken initially and lighten over time, treated skin will also appear red and swollen, some redness may persist. Please contact the clinic if you have any broken blisters so that we may discuss aftercare.

How much do treatments cost?

This varies according to the condition, size, and location of the area to be treated. A written quote will be provided.

I was booked in for another procedure; can I have this done on the same day?

You should wait 2 weeks prior or post-laser treatment for antiwrinkle or filler procedures.

Does it hurt?

The sensation of the treatment varies with the condition being treated. Most individuals find the treatment comfortable. Treatments are adjusted to individual requirements.

Post Care Instructions:

— Warm sensation and mild redness during the first 24 hours.

— AHA’s and Retinoids should be avoided over this time.

— As this deep cleanses your skin, there may be minor breakouts on day 2-3.

— You must avoid exposure to the sun on the treated areas.

— Apply sunscreen every two hours during the first 48 hours post-treatment when outside and keep skin moisturised.
